Freelance reporter and nonfiction writer
Ada Petriczko is a journalist based in Warsaw, Poland. She covers human rights, social justice, gender and culture. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Thomson Reuters, The Boston Globe, Gazeta Wyborcza, and other outlets.
In 2021, she was chosen from more than 100 applicants worldwide as the IWMF’s Elizabeth Neuffer Fellow. During the fellowship, she reported for The New York Times and The Boston Globe, and conducted independent research on press freedom at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Previously, Ada was a freelance foreign correspondent based in New Delhi, India. She has also been a Robert Bosch Stiftung Fellow and served on the editorial staff of NewsMavens and Wysokie Obcasy magazines.
Writing
Ada’s work spans a variety of formats - from investigative pieces to profiles, interviews, and opinion columns. Over the past decade, she has reported from Europe, South Asia, and South America, interviewing political leaders and Nobel laureates, and covering social crises as well as marginalized communities.
Multimedia
Ada works across media, integrating images, sound, and text in her narratives. She has produced documentary photography to complement her reporting and has written a narrative podcast, incorporating field recordings.
